Things have been going very well at Our Rugby Club HQ, and we are gearing up for the new rugby season when we will be spreading the word far and wide.
Several clubs have been in touch expressing their interest in becoming our partner club, and three in particular are very keen. We have also had nearly 50 other clubs nominated by people that have registered on this site.
All the clubs we have spoken to are considering what they will be able to offer to Our Rugby Club members if we were to partner with them. When we are ready to invest, a shortlist of clubs will be drawn up, each with a ‘case’ put forward detailing member benefits and club information, and subscribed members will be able to vote on which club to partner with.
Hundreds of prospective members have registered their interest already, and many of you have done a great job of forwarding the details to friends, families, rugby clubs and anyone else that might like to get involved. Please keep this going!
The project has been featured in London’s free Sport magazine that goes to 300,000 people, and International Rugby News magazine are also providing coverage. This follows the article in Rugby Times last month, and hopefully there will be many more to come as the new season kicks off again.
In August, we will be offering prize draws to everyone that has registered, with Twickenham tickets, rugby jerseys and Front Up clothing all up for grabs.
We are also in the process of setting up a rugby prediction game for Our Rugby Club members with SuperBru, which will be free to play and there will be prizes to be won, so watch this space and we’ll let you know when you can register.
Behind the scenes, work has started on a sophisticated new website, which will allow people to subscribe to the club, debate club issues in member forums, vote on club decisions and there will be a host of other features to look forward to.
Thank you for your continued support, and please continue to help to communicate the idea to your friends and encourage them to register their interest for free.

Maybe I haven’t read every inch of this website, but can I assume that the team picked will have a playing venue that can be developed and evetually qualify under the RFUs premiership entry criteria?

The club will be chosen by members from a shortlist of those that are interested - we will put together a detailed case for each, with information such as potential for growth.
Some of the clubs that have already expressed interest are as high as National Two with development plans already in place.
If you have, or anyone else has, other questions or queries, post them here or drop us a line and we can put together an FAQ page.
